Tonight is my book's Pre-Launch Book Party at Guardian Games in Portland, OR. I haven't even decided what part of the book I will be reading. I know I want to talk about stuff I've learned while doing the interviews that didn't make it into the book. Those gems will eventually be discussed in future blogs.
This morning I am making my to-do list. Still debating what to wear. (Hey, that's what girls do. Even "old girls".)
Tomorrow (on the anniversary of the ADA) I'll be having another exciting day as I head over to the NW Book Fair in Portland. I'm going to be at the booth for the Coffee House Writers Group. Come by and say "hi." I will be wearing my "loud" Star Trek shirt.
I spent from November 2012 to March 2014 writing this book. And I am proud to say, (after stepping away for several months before looking at it in the finished form,) it's Damn good! But I am hardly finished with the book.
The writing is over, the editing finished, and book is printed, I need to get the word out. I want people to READ the book, not just put it in their collection of Star Trek books. I have a lot to say about how we treat people with disabilities. I have a lot to say about the Star Trek universe. Let's face it, I have a lot to say.
